Where does the time go? On what would have been his 74th Birthday, I was priveledged to be sitting in the audience partaking in this musical tribute to the legend, John Lennon.
Whether you are a true Lennon groupie, or it’s just all about the Beatles, you will not want to miss this concert/musical revue. This is pure Lennon with 31 one songs rocking out with two dudes, one piano, one guitar, on a stage drenched in smoky haze.
For you rockers who really dislike the Broadway scene, it’s a perfect setting for you with minimal but “ compelling” dialogue by John R. Waters (not to be confused with John Waters of American Film Fame) playing the role of Lennon who gives you a bit of background and inspiration behind the music. I never knew a lot of these facts, and am sure I will think of these things the next time I hear one of these songs. You will find the very popular tunes, to some his lesser known music. Gone and never to be forgotten, John Lennon was a brilliant songwriter, and he has left a legacy in his music. In case you are wondering, “The Glass Onion” is actually the
name of one of Lennon’s songs in the show. Something else I never knew.
You cannot Imagine how this one ends, can you? But you really need to find out
