Trip of Love
Off Broadway at Stage 42

Attention baby boomers.  Here is a show for all of you.  Even your Broadway boycotting husbands will enjoy this one.  There is a story line here if you take the time to read about it first, but it’s loose, and guess what?  I don’t care, and neither will you because it is all about a trip down memory lane with many of your favorite songs of the 60’s and a couple from the very early 70’s, like White Rabbit, Where the Boys Are, The Girl From Ipanema, California Dreamin’ and Downtown.  There are 28  groovy tunes in total, and with each fabulous tune, a costume change that could fill the fashion week runway and then some.  There really are no stars in this ensemble cast, although Caroline (Kelly Felthous) is the central character, everyone takes the center stage with their perfectly chiseled bodies and synchronized movements.   This cast is having a great time with this, and it shows.  This is truly a visual spectacle in both the set (James Walski and Robin Wagner) and  costumes (Gregg Barnes) all of which have been created with keen attention to detail.  I’m told that the production costs are in the tens of millions of dollars, and once you see this show, you will understand.   You need to see this and be-dazzled.
